2nd conference on Forecasting at Central Banks

We invite submissions to the 2nd Forecasting at Central Banks conference, to be held at the Bank of England from Thursday November 15 to Friday November 16, 2018.

We will consider applications related to all aspects of macroeconomic forecasting. Topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Data uncertainty and forecast communication
  • Nowcasting/monitoring of current economic conditions
  • Conditional forecasts, scenario analysis, forecasting risk
  • Forecasting in the presence of structural breaks
  • Forecasting inflation, exchange rates; finance and forecasting
  • Big data, unstructured data, high-frequency data

Participants are expected to cover their own accommodation and travel expenses. However, a number of hotel rooms at a discounted rate has been reserved, and partial contributions towards travel expenses may become available.

Lucrezia Reichlin (London Business School) will be delivering the keynote address.

The deadline for submission is July 15, 2018. Please email your paper at specifying whether you would be willing to participate in a poster session. Extended abstracts will also be considered. Decisions will be announced by the end of August.
